While the storyline is quite captivating and wonderfully balanced with the right mixture of being sweet, poignant and steamy, it is also quite violent in nature with extremely graphic scenes which should be avoided if you happen to be somewhat squeamish regarding reading things like this.
This book is a stand-alone prequel to the Club series of books being written by Karen M. Bryson, and if this is any indication of what the rest of the series might be like, its readers are probably in for hot reading ahead. And as far as this particular volume is concerned I’ve given it 5 STARS.

Very good reading for a cold night at home.
This book was great. I couldn't put it down until I finished it. Can't wait to read more from this Author.

I found myself cheering for Journey from the start, knowing there would be lots of sadness in her story. Bryson doesn't pull any punches, the reader knows from the first chapter that things are going downhill quickly. There could be triggers in this book for some. There was no holding back in that the author shares the full detail of every character no matter how awful a human. Each character had a clear voice and the dialogue reinforced each personality. The ray of sunshine in Foster was a welcome balance from how cold and miserable the lives were of most of the other characters. A fast read I couldn't put down, well written.
A book that is graphic, poignant, savage, and sweet. Journey is a former model who has reached a point in her young life where hope has abandoned her. Foster is the son of a psychopath and has done all he can do to separate himself from his past. Their disparate lives collide and that collision can easily cost both of them their lives and their souls. Skillfully written in prose that is compelling and gripping.
